To continue on this, I fully subscribe to the collaboration motto : yes , every functional & projet owners should be accountable to talk and collaborate with their peers on the cross-functional data requirements. Yet having someone who drives the overall consistency could be important, otherwise everyone focus on their own needs/objectives, and litlle or short term progress only are achieved.
